Before real estate, I was a Navy pilot flying jets off of aircraft carriers. My last jobs as a Naval Officer was working at US Central Command HQ in Tampa, Florida. Above the main entrance door there is a large sign that says very simply “Plan. Fight. Win.” I’ve adapted that mantra to business - and life - by saying “Plan. Work. Win.” In a nutshell, this is what I do for clients every day. I help them win, and in order to win, we need to plan. Kelly Combs

My name is Kelly Combs, and I’m proud to be a lifelong resident of Fredericksburg, Virginia. I was raised on a farm in the 1980s, when our town was still a quiet, rural community. Growing up with a single mother and sister taught me the value of hard work and perseverance from an early age.

Real estate runs deep in my roots. I’m a third-generation builder on my mother’s side, and my grandfather developed much of South Stafford County. Homes, construction, and property have always been a part of my world. Over the decades, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing—and contributing to—the tremendous growth and transformation of the Fredericksburg area.

After earning a dual degree in Art History and Interior Design from James Madison University and studying abroad in Florence, Italy, I began my career in the kitchen and bath remodeling industry. For 15 years, I worked as a custom granite designer in Northern Virginia, combining function and beauty to elevate spaces for my clients. I purchased my first home at 23 and quickly discovered my true passion—real estate.

In 2012, I made the full transition to real estate, and it’s been the most fulfilling career move of my life. Real estate is a perfect blend of everything I love—architecture, design, construction, people, and service.
